His & Hers

Quick Dry Towels: These towels are a must for adventurers on the go! Seth and I love ours from Wanderlight because they’re light, sand-resistant, and super aesthetically pleasing! Also, this small, sustainable business donates 5% of their profits to the Intrepid Foundation to support sustainable travel!

Outdoorsy Tees and Hoodies: We love BeCause Tees‘ designs and business model. They are a woman-owned small family business that designs and prints all their products in Northern California. A portion of each order goes towards planting trees and giving back to environmental and humanitarian causes. Since 2021, they’ve planted 1,169,448 trees and donated $388,616 to non-profits. Anddddddd, you can use our code HAPPILYEVER for 15% off your order.

Yeti Koozies: Seth and I have matching stainless steel koozies from the brand Yeti that we use constantly! We love Yeti because they make durable, high quality products that last a lifetime. While these products are pricier than others, they will not need to be replaced, and their long lifespan equates to zero waste in the landfill!

Organic Cotton or Wool Beanies: Beanies are likely a staple in the wardrobe of your outdoor-lover. And by choosing to gift beanies made from organic materials, the quintessential accessory becomes a whole lot more sustainable. The organic cotton beanies linked above are soft, sustainably farmed without pesticides or fertilizer, and require less energy and water than traditional cotton- making them great for the environment and the nature-lover. If you’d rather go with wool, we love these by SmartWool.

Camelbak Backpacks: Our his & hers Camelbak hydration packs are probably our most-used adventure essential. They allow us to carry enough water for the day and are big enough to also hold all of our camera and hiking equipment. We could not recommend gifting these more!

Polarized, Wooden Sunglasses: Whether hitting the trails or the slopes, every adventure couple needs a pair of matching sunnies. Our favorites are made by Wildwood Eyewear and are made of eco‑friendly & sustainably sourced materials, and with each pair purchased, the brand funds the planting of up to ten trees

Eco-Friendly Kicks: Athletic shoes are essential, but can also be a huge contributor to plastic pollution, so introduce your outdoorsy couple to some sustainable options this season! We love 8000 Kicks‘ sneakers that are made out of hemp and algae and Sauvs’ shoes that are made from recycled plastic water bottles.

Cute Wool Hiking Socks: Speaking of gifts for the tootsies, when it comes to having enough cute pairs of wool socks, the limit does not exist.

For the Pair to Share

The Nomadik Box: These curated outdoor gear boxes are packed with fun and high-quality outdoor essentials, so if you know what your outdoorsy couple likes but don’t know exactly what to get them, let Nomadik choose the gear for you. We recently got the City to Serenity box (pictured below) and ended up with a Laek 30L 2-in-1 backpack & drybag, a Gerber Swagger Framelock Knife, an Aquabend 750ml collapsible water bottle, a LoopRope, an Exotac FireSLEEVE, and a pack of Right on Trek Backcountry Chili– at a huge discount compared to if we would have bought each item separately!

National Park Pass: About a quarter of the United States National Park Service units charge an entrance fee of $5-$35 per day. At a price tag of just $80, the “America the Beautiful” annual pass all but pays for itself in just 2 visits to any park in that $35 per day slot. Along with that, 100% of the sale goes to the National Park Service to aid in day to day operations and budget.

Guess Where Trips: This company specializes in self-guided 1-day surprise road trips that are full of hidden gems! Each trip comes with a ‘Before You Go’ package and information on four surprise stops as well as additional recommendations, fun facts, and discounts for local businesses. The variety of locations and activities make these trips perfect for literally anyone – couples, families with children, friends, etc. – not just adventure couples. You can gift a specific trip or a gift card! Check out our Guess Where Trips experience here and use code EXPLORE10 for a discount!

RIO Adventure Bucket List Cards: This company creates state-based bucket list boxes that include 50 scratch-off cards with different surprise adventures throughout the state. To help with planning, you can see the location of each adventure prior to scratching, along with a key and corresponding symbols that provide a sneak peek into what each one will look like including things like budget, weather, duration, and even what season to visit. Once a card is chosen and scratched off, the adventure is revealed along with a QR code that provides some additional information. Seth and I have the Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia boxes, and have had so much fun with the adventures we’ve scratched off. If this sounds like something you’d like to gift, you can shop through this link to save 15% on your order.

Dry Bag: A durable dry bag is essential for every adventurer. We love ours from Piscifun because it has detachable straps so we can wear it like a backpack, and comes with a handy cell phone dry case. We also can’t wait to try out our 30L pack from Laek.

Rechargeable Lighter: Every outdoor enthusiast needs a lighter, and we love this one because it is rechargeable, waterproof and is equipped with a built-in flashlight and whistle. Also, by gifting a reusable lighter, you are helping keep countless empty plastic lighter shells out of the landfill.

Loveseat Bag Chair: Everyone probably owns their fair share of bag chairs, but this double (loveseat) chair for two takes those cozy campfire nights up to a-whole-nother level.

Heated Blanket: Sticking with the theme of cozy, cuddly adventures, we love a good heated blanket. We bought ours on whim while we were camping, and use it all the time when we’re just not ready to head indoors on cold nights. We’ve linked a soft, affordable option as well as a heavy-duty one that’s more of a splurge.

Portable JBL Eco-Speaker: We love that this bad boy is waterproof, dustproof, lasts 10 hours on one charge, and hooks easily to things via its integrated carabiner… and the fact that it’s made from postconsumer recycled plastic is the cherry on top!

Solar Charger: A good solar charger is yet another adventure essential. We really like this one because it’s waterproof and has built-in LED lights, so it acts as a flashlight as well.

Yeti Cooler: Again, we are big fans of Yeti because their products last, and work! My parents gave us a Yeti Daytrip Lunch Bag a few years ago, and we have taken it on countless adventures since!

Leatherman Camping Multitool: Leatherman multitools are the perfect gift for outdoorsy types, minimalists, dooms-day-preppers, etc. because they are high quality and built to last. Leatherman multitools are made in the USA, and the brand offers a 25 year warranty on all of their products – which makes us love them even more!

Jetboil: There is nothing quite like whipping up a hot meal fireside at your campsite at night and being able to make a fresh cup of piping hot coffee from the top of a mountain… which is why we always backpack/camp with our Jetboil and silicone coffee press. This combo adds just a little bit of luxury to “roughing it” outdoors, yet is still super practical, thus the perfect gift.

Splurge-Worthy

Jackery Generator: Having reliable 120v power when traveling and working is a must for us, so we take our Jackery on every one of our outdoor-based adventures. This generator/solar panel combo is definitely a splurge, but ensures that off-grid, (yet ever-connected) explorers don’t have to tether themselves to a coffee shop or hotel room to recharge… so basically, when gifting this, you’re giving the gift of freedom. But seriously, we constantly use our Jackery in parks and at campsites to power all sorts of devices, and couldn’t recommend this buy more if you’re looking for a higher ticket gift.

Go Pro: When it comes to adventure cameras, GoPros are unmatched in terms of quality and durability. We take ours with us on every adventure and have for over 15 years now (upgrading to newer versions along the way, of course). We’ve also recently added an Insta360 to our pack, and really love the unique perspective it offers. Because it captures a 360-degree image/video, you never miss a shot. In their app you are able to spin the field of view to any position you want and even display the entire 360-degree image making post-editing and exporting just as fun as the capturing of the moment itself.

WeBoost Cell Booster: If your travelers spend as much time as we do in cellphone dead zones, this one is must have. We bought our cell booster almost 2 years ago and have loved every minute of it. In places we typically had no service we now get enough signal to fire up our hotspots and get some work done before adventuring after work. The best part is, if you’re driving and streaming tunes, the party doesn’t have to stop just because you’re in the middle of nowhere without a cell tower insight.
